NUCC socials are renowned for being jam-packed with fun, hilarity, more fun and extra-toppings of BANTER!

Every year the club votes in a dedicated team of Social Secretaries whose job is to make sure you have a SMASHING time in all the “social” dimensions of the club, from the organised socials to the trips. They will make you feel welcome, ingratiate you into the legendary Newcastle nightlife, and even cook you breakfast with a stinking hangover! Look out for this year’s team, Rose and Alicia (they can usually be sighted swinging around the pole in our favourite establishment, Babylon!)

Organised socials are run every other week. Unlike other clubs who run them every week, we pack a LOT of action into one night, and as such you will need the week to recover, and collect items for the next theme! Also, this year, we will be celebrating the return of your beautiful new UNION BUILDING with a sexy, spanking new bar, so socials will be starting from there, usually at 7:30 to 8pm. Early birds get the worm, after all (or just insanely hammered!)

Themes for the socials will be decided by your Social Secretaries and transmitted via our controversial email system. As you will see, we don’t do outfits by halves, even when “risqué” in nature!

The fun begins the week after Fresher’s with a pizza night in the city centre, where you can talk to current and old members, as well as fellow freshers, before we hit the town and introduce you to what makes an NUCC night out!
